Another small format classical text in an elegant and unusual binding.
16mo (118 x 73 mm). Italic type, 29 lines plus headline. Collation: a-s8: 144 leaves (last leaf blank). Woodcut printer's device on title-page, woodcut initials. (Title-page slightly soiled and frayed.)
Binding: Contemporary French russet morocco gilt (123 x 80 mm), covers with gilt fillet frames with leafy cornerpieces, central oval with azured leafy stamps, panel infilled with repeated groups of three gilt dots, spine with small flower stamps in compartments with title lettered at head, gilt edges. (Extremities very slightly rubbed, joints cracking.)
