Another small format medical book bound for Marcus Fugger, plausibly by Wotton Binder C.
16mo (121 x 75 mm). Italic type, 29 lines plus headline. Collation: a-z8 A-Z8 aa-qq8: 496 leaves (last leaf blank). Woodcut printer’s device on title-page, woodcut initials and headpieces, ruled in red. (Slightly cut close at head.)
Binding: Contemporary Parisian interlaced tan morocco gilt (126 x 83 mm), covers with a lighter brown inlay in an interlaced pattern outlined in gilt within a gilt fillet border, outline gilt leafy tools at corners, flat spine gilt, gilt edges, with a few quires of blank leaves bound at end. In a modern drop-backed folding box with perspex lid. (Binding slightly rubbed, spine slightly creased.)
