8vo (139 x 93 mm). Italic type, 29 lines. Collation: A-Z8 Aa-ZZ8: 368 leaves, last leaf blank (title-page replaced by the title from the 1563 edition (UCLA 686), otherwise foliated as in the 1566 edition). (Small hole on title, title-page almost detached, a few minor marginal repairs, washed resulting in occasional staining.)
Binding: Nineteenth-century red morocco (95 x 145 mm), gilt edges. (A few trifling scuffs.)
Provenance: A few leaves with ink marginalia at end, faint early owner’s name on title — Charles van der Elst (1904-1982, President of La Société Royale des Bibliophiles et Iconophiles de Belgique), bookplate.
