binding: Near-contemporary limp vellum (154 x 110 mm), gilt arms of Jacques-Auguste de Thou as a bachelor, double gilt fillet border, flat spine gilt with de Thou's monogram, 5 false bands formed by 4 gilt fillets, 5-line title in second compartment, gilt edges, stubs from two pairs of ties. (Very slight worming at edge of lower cover.)
