Tri-coloured brooch
1950s
designed as a Canadian maple leaf, the back inscribed Ottawa Women's Canadian Club October 26 '55
Presented to Edwina, Countess of Mountbatten of Burma (1901-1960) during her visit to Canada in 1955. This brooch was given by the Ottawa Women's Canadian Club which had was founded in 1910 and still flourishes today.
